What are Ceranimals?

They are small ceramic animal figurines, about 1.5 to 3 inches tall. They are formed by the hands of Jane Mount in a small shed on the side of a dormant volcano on the island of Maui. Some are then fired in a fully solar-powered electric kiln at cone 5, and some are fired in a gas-powered reduction kiln at cone 10. They come out hot and ready to meet you!

How long do they take to arrive to me?

They ship from Hawai'i, and the US Postal Service has just doubled all shipping times from our island to anywhere else, so about 4-5 days if you choose Priority Mail, and about 10 days or so if you choose Ground Advantage. Yes, we and they are also frustrated by this, they really want to get to you sooner!

Can I pick the one I want?

You don't choose them, they choose you! And they are very excited about it!

That's right: it's a surprise package, blind box, lucky dip, mystery pack, gashapon sort of situation, and you'll get the one that wants to come to you. We highly recommend thinking about yourself while picking the box, or thinking about the person you're planning to gift that one to. Maybe it's woo-woo and maybe it's quantum physics, but focused energy can make great things happen.

You are totally welcome to send us a note with any preferences in the field on the cart page, like what colors you like, or what sorts of animals. If we can accommodate that we totally will! But it's possible that no one will fit that description at that moment, and ultimately, the Ceranimals go to who they want to go to. And isn't it nice not to have to make a decision sometimes, but to just let good things happen?

How are they packaged?

They come in a tiny bag, in a cute little box, inside a shipping box with a postcard, a sticker sheet, and a certificate of authenticity/adoption papers signed by Jane Mount.

 

What if I am not into the one I get? Can I return or exchange them?

Well, probably their little heart will hurt at first, but perhaps you have a friend who will love them so they can both be happy? We keep the costs to everyone as low as possible by not doing returns and exchanges, sorry! Shipping from an island makes things more limited.

I want to order multiple and have them sent to different addresses; how do I do that?

For right now, the only way is to place separate orders for each, sorry about that!
